David Pakman appreciated the prospects of stablecoins

Stebblecoins remain one of the most popular assets, since they make it possible to level one of the key shortcomings of cryptocurrencies – high volatility. The managing partner of the investment corporation David Pakman shared his opinion regarding the prospects for the development of this segment. According to him, by the end of this year, the total capitalization of all stablecoins can reach $ 1 trillion.

Although this will be a relatively modest indicator in comparison with traditional financial markets. However, the growth in the capitalization of stable coins will reflect a significant shift in cash flows in the blockchain segment. The specialist also believes that this trend in conjunction with the popularity of cryptocurrency funds will support decentralized finance. “If in the foreseeable perspective, the spotal ETF will allow you to receive a reward for staying, then this will probably positively affect the Defi niche,” Pakman emphasized.

According to the onchain-metrics, at the time of March 28, 2025, the total supply of stablecoins among the 5 most popular coins exceeded $ 208 billion. Recently, the indicator reached $ 219 billion, but then a local rollback followed. However, according to many blockchain experts, the market for stable coins is now located only in the middle of the growing cycle.

There is also a steady increase in the number of daily payments with stablecoins. This reflects the high efficiency of transactions in the blockchain segment.

According to the head of Cryptoquant Kien Ju, stable coins are often used not only for payments, but also of long -term investments. This is especially true in countries with a developing economy. At the same time, the expert believes that the growth in the capitalization of stablecoins will not be able to push the entire market to sustainable growth without additional catalysts.
