The former head of BitMex and the founder of the Maelstrom Foundation Arthur Hays again predicted bitcoin growth up to $ 1 million over the next few years. In his opinion, 2 main macroeconomic factors will become the catalysts of this movement: the repatriation of foreign capital and the devaluation of the giant reserve of American government bonds. He clarified that at these expectations he again increased risky cryptos, especially during turbulence in traditional markets at the end of April.

Arthur Hayce said that he reduced the risks and increased the share of Fiat back in January. However, since the end of March, he began to return to the market, and against the backdrop of a collapse in April – he completely entered the long positions on cryptocurrencies. Now, according to him, it’s time to choose tokens that can overtake bitcoin at the next stage of the bull market.

He believes that in this cycle, not speculative meme tokens will be encouraged, but assets that are behind real users paying for a product or service. In this case, the protocol must share part of the profit with the holders. Among these, he highlighted Pendle (Pendle) and Ether.fi (Ethfi), which Maelstrom acquired on local minimums.

Arthur Hayce called Pendle the future leader in the trade in cryptocurrency fixed income – the segment, which, in his opinion, remains underestimated. He described Ether.fi as “American Express in the world of cryptocurrencies”, focused on wealthy long -term holders. He promised to publish a detailed analysis of these tokens in the following articles.

Despite the bull’s eye at Bitcoin, Arthur Hayes noted that short -term rollbacks and tactical shorts are possible. In his opinion, ahead of capital control and accelerated printing of money, but the path to these events will be unstable. He also recalled that the administration of Donald Trump has not yet adheres to a clear position on capital control, and internal conflicts in the US elite can influence the dynamics of markets.
