CCData has published a new rating of centralized crypto exchanges for November 2024, which analyzes the leading exchanges according to several key criteria. The leader was Coinbase with a final score of 88.8 points and an AA rating. The trading platform demonstrated a high level of security (20.0) and good compliance (15.0). In addition, it demonstrated excellent performance in the categories: “KYC and transaction risks”, “Data provision”, “Team”, “Exchange”, “Negative events”, “Market quality” and “Transparency”.
Binance took 2nd place in the final list with a score of 87.6, losing to the leader due to a lower score in the legal regulation category (12.0). Analysts speculate that this was due to numerous problems associated with the platform and its founder Changpeng Zhao. However, Binance stands out for its market quality (23.3), which is important for traders.
Kraken took 3rd position with a score of 84.4, also receiving an AA rating. The platform demonstrates stable performance in security and team management, but is weaker in the area of data provision. Bitstamp and Bybit completed the top 5, earning high scores for security. It should be noted that OKX took only 8th place, and such platforms as Crypto.com, Bitget, and Upbit did not make it into the top 10 at all. KuCoin was only in 24th position, while the well-known derivatives platform BitMEX took only 28th place out of 81.
It is worth noting that parameters such as user protection, regulation and trading quality remain key to assessing exchanges. Analysts emphasize that a high rating not only improves the site’s reputation, but also attracts more clients, which increases liquidity. Additionally, increased interest in more secure and regulated platforms underscores the growing regulatory focus on the sector.
