Blockchain fraud continues to evolve, with users increasingly becoming victims of criminal schemes. Recent examples from Scam Sniffer specialists have shown how easily attackers can take over users’ digital funds using fake bots and Telegram links.
In the first case, the user joined a fake crypto group. The bot, which called itself Safeguard, invited the gullible user to enter Telegram data to “protect the account.” Ultimately, this led to the theft of all tokens from the account.
In the second case, a naive victim clicked on an ad for a “trading bot.” The link led to a fake login page in the Telegram messenger. As soon as the data was entered, the scammers gained access to the user’s account and assets, successfully withdrawing them to their wallets.
Company representatives said that you should never log into accounts through third-party bots or Telegram mini-apps. Such services may look legitimate, but in reality they turn out to be fakes. This threatens a complete loss of access not only to your digital funds, but also to your messenger account, which can be used for various purposes.
To protect your digital assets, it is important to follow simple rules. You should always verify the authenticity of bots, especially if they request sensitive data. Advertising links should not be trusted and only official apps should be used to access the platforms.
Experts emphasize that users should be as careful as possible, especially against the backdrop of growing interest in cryptocurrencies. Fraudsters are actively adapting to new technologies, so the main weapon against them is awareness and caution. Scam Sniffer experts recommended not to fall for tricks and always double-check your sources of information.
