Developer Vitalik Buterin published a new message on his own blog. He proposed a new architecture of the evidence system for EVM-rollaps, based on combination of 3 types: Optimistic, ZK (Zero-Knowledge) and TEE (Trusted Execution Environment). This approach allows you to increase the finality of transactions, reduce risks and achieve the 2nd stage in the development of rolls in the Ethereum ecosystem.
Buterin also noted that ZK-EVM rollaps are approaching single-sloping evidence, but Ethereum still lacks standardized levels of their aggregation. This leads to high gas consumption when using several applications based on ZK technologies, which reduces their economic efficiency.
In addition, Butaterin published an article in which he proposed to change the approach to financing projects in the blockchain industry. He believes that instead of discussing public goods, one should focus on the development of Open-Source. In his opinion, not every open product is equally valuable and it is important to invest in those developments that bring maximum benefit to humanity.
The entrepreneur noted: the term “public benefits” is often used incorrectly, which leads to blurring its meaning. Some commercial projects with their own tokens represent themselves in this light, although in fact their model is aimed at making profit and personal benefits for developers.
In contrast, Open-Source has a clear definition formed by the community and existing for decades. Buterin emphasized that the development of an open code is not just the publication of any developments, but the creation of products that can change the industry and increase the availability of technology. According to him, this approach can lead to the formation of more transparent and effective models of financing in the crypto industry.
